Comme dernière journée complète ici, j’ai décidé de faire quelque chose de spécial : aller voir le monument Valle de los Caidos (vallée de ceux qui sont tombés), dédié (en théorie) aux victimes de la guerre civile d’Espagne (1936-39). OK, dans la basilique et le mausolée, les photos étaient interdites. Vous me connaissez — je pense m’en être tiré pas trop mal. Je n’ai redressé aucune photo (j’avais éteint mon écran et photographiais à l’aveuglette), mais j’ai essayé d’ajuster les niveaux pour qu’elles soient plus visibles.

Ensuite, j’ai ajouté une ou deux photos de ma promenade post-visite. Cela dit, autant que Berlin me manque et que Madrid (malgré quelques irritants) a son charme — surtout avec la température magnifique des deux derniers jours — je crois que je suis prêt à revenir. J’ai hâte de revoir Super Stef et de retrouver mes affaires!

Alors voilà. Possible que j’ajoute une mise à jour supplémentaire après mon retour — je verrai comment ça se présente.

Prochain voyage (en théorie) : Berlin et France, probablement fin mai, mi-juin.

For my last full day here, I decided to do something special : see the monument Valle de los Caidos (Valley of the Fallen), dedicated (in theory) to the victims of the Spanish Civil War (1936-39). Alright, in the basilica and the mausoleum, photos were forbiddem. You know what that means for me — and I think I did OK. I didn’t straighten any pictures (I had turned off my display and was shooting blind the entire time), but I tried to adjust levels so they’d show more.

I also threw in a couple pictures of my post-visit walk. That said, as much as I miss Berlin and as charming as Madrid is (despite a few annoyances) — especially with the spectacular weather of the past couple days — I think I’m ready to go back. I’m looking forward to seeing Super Stef again and getting back into my things!  

So there you go. I might add another update once I get back — we’ll see how it goes.

Next scheduled trip: Berlin and France, probably late May, mid-June 2016.
