Hey hey,
On y va!
Hey hey,
So, my first destination was Riga, Latvia! The Baltic states had been on my to-go list for a few years by then. Let’s start!
-

-
- Whoa.
-
There was also a classic cars exhibition!
-
Most of the cars were made by GAZ (Gorkovsky Avtomobilny Zavod, « Gorky Automobile Plant »).
-
Gorky used to be the name (1932-1990) of the city Nizhny Novgorod.
-
- ГАЗ = GAZ.
-
On the ground floor of my AirBnB. This is in Russian (not in Latvian — remember, Latvia was part of the USSR), and it says YOUR ZIP CODE.
-
At a shopping mall, another classic car!
-
- Très pittoresque! / Very quaint!
-
Nothing like an empty Old Town. So quiet and peaceful.
-
- Nice.
-
The restaurant ROZENGRĀLS, in an old cellar, opened in 1293!
-
Belle touche! / The people working there were dressed up Middle Ages style. A nice touch!
-
There is the reality of tourism nowadays, so they have an English menu. Very tasty!
-
- La décoration intérieure était aussi très réussie! / The interior decor was also quite on point!
