Madrid, jour/Day 1: Up in the Air

Hey hey,

Et voilà, parti de Berlin ce midi. C’est toujours déprimant de partir, mais ce fut un excellent séjour dans l’ensemble. J’aurais bien échangé ma semaine à Madrid contre une autre à Berlin, mais coudonc.

Mon appart à Madrid est près de la gare principale Atocha. Il est très joli, mais minuscule! Au moins il ne manque rien, donc je devrais pouvoir m’en sortir. La connexion Internet est bonne aussi!

Je suis arrivé ici vers 18 h, et j’étais décidé de vider mes valises, donc pas d’exploration aujourd’hui. Il devrait faire beau demain, donc ça devrait être bien. En attendant, quelques photos prises (entre autres) de ma fenêtre d’avion.

Hey hey,

That’s it. I left Berlin around noon. Leaving there is always depressing, but overall I had a great time. I would have traded this week in Madrid for another one in Berlin in a second, but that’s life. Could be worse.

My apartment in Madrid is near the main train station, Atocha. It’s very pretty, but tiny! At least there’s everything I need, so I should be OK. The Internet connection is also pretty good!

I got here around 6 PM, and I was dead-set on emptying my suitcases and settling in, so no exploration for today. The weather forecast is great for tomorrow, so it should be interesting. Until then, here are a couple pictures taken from my window seat (among other places).

: C’était mon premier siège de fenêtre depuis des lunes. Et je l’ai eu parce qu’une jeune maman m’a demandé d’échanger son siège avec le mien (Je préfère dans l’allée, mais pour un vol court ça ne me dérangeait pas). / My first window seat in ages. And I only got it because I switched with a young mom (I always pick aisle seats, but for a relatively short flight I didn’t mind).

: Je me souviens plus dans quel coin c’était, mais il semblait y avoir beaucoup de plage! / Don’t remember where that was, but there seemed to be plenty of beach there!
