Berlin, jour/Day 20: The Grey

Hey hey,

J’avais une autre promenade avec Beate aujourd’hui. Bien agréable, malgré la température grisâtre. En soirée, ce fut d’agréables retrouvailles avec Sam et Cynthia, qui étaient partis en Australie depuis quelques années. On ne s’était pas vus depuis août 2011.

Demain, dernière journée complète ici. Aucune idée de ce qui m’attend. Valises, entre autres. On verra pour le reste.

Hey hey,

I took another walk with Beate today. Very nice, despite the overcast skies. And tonight, I spent a fantastic evening catching up with Sam and Cynthia, who had been off to Australia for the last few years. Last time we saw each other was August 2011.

Tomorrow is my last full day here. No idea what’s in store for me. Packing up, among other things. We’ll see about the rest.

: Derrière la Haus den Kulturen der Welt (Maison des cultures du monde), un espèce de resto-cabaret complètement flyé et pourtant très discret de l’extérieur! / Behind the Haus den Kulturen der Welt (House of the Cultures of the World), a restaurant-cabaret that’s completely outrageous and still very discreet from the outside!

: Une sittelle! Beate m’a dit qu’elles sont extrêmement rares ici. / A nuthatch! Beate told me they were extremely rare here.

: Ça ressemble à un tapis vert, mais en fait ce sont de tout petits grains ronds verts, provenant des algues, si je me souviens. / This looks like a green carpet, but it’s actually small grainy round thingies coming from algae, if I remember.

: Maintenant à la Siegessäule. / Now at the Siegessäule.

: Sous un ciel bleu, le résultat est frappant. (Je l’ai déjà publiée ici auparavant.) / When the sky is blue, it’s absolutely striking. (I’ve shown it here before.)
