Berlin, jour/Day 16: HA HO HÉ, HERTHA BSC! (Ah, et quelque chose sur la réunification d’un pays… / Oh yeah, and something about the reunification of a country…)

Aujourd’hui était le 25e anniversaire de la réunification de l’Allemagne, et on a eu droit à un bien beau spectacle devant le Reichstag. Le timing était parfait en plus — moi, Simon et Veronica (sympathiques Britanniques, et tout comme moi Berlinois occasionnels (beaucoup plus fréquemment que moi, par contre) et partisans du Hertha) revenions direct du match (queeeelllle victoire de 3-0!). Ce fut Stade olympique-gare principale, ensuite marche jusqu’au Reichstag. Je vais vous montrer tout ça ce soir, vu que ça se prête moins bien à un « reportage » différé.

Hey hey,

Today was the 25th anniversary of the reunification of Germany, and we saw a pretty nice show/concert in front of the Reichstag. The timing was perfect, too — me, Simon and Veronica (super-nice British couple, and also Hertha fans and part-time Berliners (although they’re here a lot more often than I am)) came back straight from the game (and what a game it was — a 3-0 win!). It was from the Olympic stadium to the main train station, then a short walk to the Reichstag. I’ll show everything tonight, since I don’t think it’d work that well several days after the fact.
