Berlin, jour/Day 12: « I’m your Venus, I’m your fire, at your desire!

Aujourd’hui, je me suis tapé une bonne promenade avec ma partenaire de conversation Beate, très gentille francophile dont j’ai déjà parlé auparavant. Ce fut encore un petit délire de street art que je vous montrerai probablement plus tard cette semaine. En attendant, voici un résumé de ma deuxième partie de dimanche, la première étant le marathon.

Hey hey,

Today I went for quite a good walk with Beate, my conversation partner and a devout Francophile (I’ve mentioned her in the past). It was another round of street art, which I’ll probably show you later this week. In the meantime, here’s a summary of the second part of my Sunday, the first one being the marathon.

As for tomorrow, I have a few things in mind.

: À la station de métro Eberswalder Strasse. Le tram passe. / At the Eberswalder Strasse station. The trams rolls by.

: Ensuite, le métro. / Then the subway.

: Lamborghini en prime. (Pourquoi conduire une Lambo ici? Il y a tellement de meilleurs véhicules…) / Bonus Lamborghini shot. (Why drive a Lambo here? There are many much better cars out there…)

: SCORE! À la station Nordbahnhof, j’ai vu qu’une barre Twix était partiellement coincée par le mécanisme, et en en achetant une, ça a libéré l’autre aussi! Deux pour un! / SCORE! At the Nordbahnhof station, I noticed that a Twix bar was stuck near the spiral thingy (and the other bars). So I ordered one, and the other fell into the chute as well! Two for one!

: Publicité pour le Martien, à l’affiche bientôt (j’ai lu le livre, c’est très bien)! / Ad for the Martian, in theaters soon (read the book, it’s very good).

: Botticelli semblait aimer les portraits de Marie avec Jésus ou Jean-Baptiste, en tout cas. Il y en avait une vingtaine en série. / I did notice that Botticelli seemed to enjoy painting the Virgin Mary with Jesus or John the Baptist. There must have been about 20 in a row at one point.

: Yup.

: Semblerait qu’il n’y a que deux oeuvres qui soient signées et authentifiées de Botticelli. Et qu’il avait un atelier où plusieurs apprentis y travaillaient. C’est donc possible que plusieurs de ses oeuvres ne soient pas en fait de lui. Eh, mystère. / I learned that there are only two pieces signed and authentified from Botticelli and that he owned a workshop where many apprentices worked. So it’s possible that many of his pieces were done actually done by him. Eh, it’s a mystery.
