Berlin, jour/Day 11: Marathon!

Je croyais ajouter des photos de mon exposition mystère d’hier, mais finalement j’en avais assez avec le marathon, alors voici. Demain, on verra — comme d’habitude!

At first I thought I’d add some pictures from my mystery exhibition, but it turns out I had enough material from the marathon, so there you go. Tomorrow, we’ll see — as usual!

: Les coureurs ont tout plein de beaux monuments et bâtiments à admirer… / The runners have tons of awesome monuments and buildings to look at…

: Voici le parcours (seuls Stef et moi — et les rares Berlinois qui liront ceci — y comprendront quelque chose, mais bon). / Here is the itinerary (only Stef and me — and the few Berliners who’ll ever read this — will make sense of it, but whatever).

: Pas trop mal comme vue d’arrivée. / Not too bad a sight when you’re about to finish.

: Yes! Pas de record du monde, par contre. / Yes! No world record, though.

: Me voici en personne à Potsdamer Platz. / Now I’m actually on site, at Potsdamer Platz.

: Il y a des batteurs de tambour partout! / There are drummers everywhere.

: Ce chien semblait se foutre éperdument de la course. / That dog couldn’t give a shit about the race.

: Bon choix vestimentaire! Le gilet de l’équipe allemande, avec la 4e étoile en plus (fraîche de 2014)! / Good choice! The Germany jersey! With the 4th star, too (fresh from 2014)!

: Uh, ça semble chargé pour courir un marathon. / Uh, that looks cumbersome if you want to run a marathon.

: Les bonnes caméras sont là. / Good cameras are there to cover the event.

: Yup!

: Son ballon portait l’inscription « 4:00 » (comme dans faire le marathon en 4 heures ou moins). / His balloon had « 4:00 » written on it (as is, complete the marathon in 4 hours or less).

: Une bière qui court! / A running beer!

: Le Philharmonie avec le Sony Center. / The Philharmonie with the Sony Center nearby.

: Un autre groupe de batteurs! / Another bunch of drummers!

: Yup.

: Ne seriez-vous pas nerveux si vous voyiez une ambulance avec le mot KATASTROPHEN dessus? / Wouldn’t you get a bit nervous if you saw an ambulance with the word KATASTROPHEN written on it?

: Je vous avais parlé des batteurs. Cette fois on a un orchestre complet! / I told you about the drummers. This time we have a full band!

: Un Buddy Bear! Il semble nouveau. / A Buddy Bear! It might be a new one, too.

: Je le sais ce qui manque ici. Des autocollants! / I know what’s missing here. More stickers!

: Je sais, Google est méchant, blah blah, mais c’est un bon choix de logo ici. / I know, Google is evil and all, but this is a nice twist on the logo.

: Le Rotes Rathaus avec le Dieu Tour. / The Rotes Rathaus and the Tower God.
