Madrid, jour/Day 2: Une journée au(x) musée(s) / A day at the museum(s)

Dernière journée complète ici jusqu’au 9 octobre. J’avais déjà fait de nombreux points d’intérêt l’an dernier — il restait par contre quelques musées à faire (et je trouverai bien quelque chose d’autre plus tard). Ce fut donc un 2-pour-1. Le Museo del Prado et le Museo Reina Sofia. Aujourd’hui, ce sera le Prado seulement. Demain risque d’être plus mollo, et avec le trajet pour Berlin, l’exploration sera réduite de toute façon. J’aurai au moins quelque chose à vous montrer à coup sûr.

Hey hey,

Last full day here until October 9. I had already covered many sights last year — only a few museums were left (and I’ll find plenty of things to do next time anyway). Sooo, today was a 2-for-1: the Museo del Prado and the Museo Reina Sofia. I’ll only show you the Prado today, however. Tomorrow should be slower, and with the flight to Berlin, I won’t get to explore that much anyway. At least I’ll have something to show you tomorrow no matter what.

: Débarqué à la station de métro Nuevos Ministerios, je me fais accueillir par un El Corte Inglés et Rafael Nadal en bedaine. Eh ben. / Right as I get off the Nuevos Ministerios subway station, I’m met by an El Corte Inglés and a shirtless Rafael Nadal. How about that.

: Comme un moron, je me trompe de billet pour l’autobus, et je suis tellement en tab&!*%&* après moi que je marche les 4 km d’ici au Prado pour me calmer. De toute façon, il fait beau, donc eh. / Like a dumbass, I get the wrong bus ticket, and I’m so mad at myself that I walk the 4 km to the Prado to calm me down. The weather is nice anyway, so it’s no big deal.

: Difficile d’avoir un sens de l’échelle ici, mais c’est probablement LE plus gros drapeau que j’ai jamais vu! Gigantesque! / It’s tough to get a sense of scale from this picture, but that has to be THE biggest flag I’ve ever seen! Simply gigantic!

: Les Torres de Colon (on n’en voit qu’une). J’ai pris la photo en ninja, sans retoucher l’angle. Avec le reflet, c’est un coup de chance. / The Columbus Towers (though we only see one). I took this one ninja-like. With the sun hitting it, it comes out OK.

: Juste en face, un centre culturel/théâtre. / Just opposite that building, a theater/culture center.
