Je suis allé voir l’exposition sur David Bowie aujourd’hui. Elle avait été prolongée jusqu’au 24 août, donc pas de temps à perdre. TROIS heures d’attente, mais ça valait la peine. Quel travail de recherche impressionnant! Et ils ne se sont même pas concentrés sur ses années à Berlin (avec Iggy Pop comme coloc, rien de moins). Pour les fans de Bowie, c’est un must absolu. (J’aime ce que je connais de lui, mais j’en sais pas assez pour me considérer un vrai fan.)
Par la suite, j’en ai profité pour revoir quelques incontournables. Donc, les lecteurs réguliers du blog (vous 3), vous allez revoir plusieurs belles choses. Demain… surprise!

Today I went to the David Bowie exhibition at the Martin-Gropius-Bau, extended until August 24, so it was now or never. THREE hours of standing in line, but it was worth it. The amount of research and documenting was impressive! And they didn’t even focus on his time in Berlin (with Iggy Pop as a roommate, nothing less). For Bowie fans, it was an absolute must. (I like what I know of him, but I don’t know enough to call myself a true fan.)
After that, I took the opportunity to visit a few familiar classics. So, my regular readers (all 3 of them) will remember those spots. As for tomorrow, it’s a surprise!

Not enough paprika (according to the traditional recipe), but still pretty good!

Je suis d’accord avec toi pour les leggings! Affreux! Ça a l’air bon ton mets allemand. Et, je ne savais pas qu’il y avait encore des bouts de mur encore debout!

La Currywurst, un classique berlinois 🙂 Et oui, il y a trois grandes sections encore debout : East Side Gallery, celle que j’ai montrée aujourd’hui (Niederkirchnerstrasse) et Bernauer Strasse, près de mon appart de l’an dernier. C’est tout sur le site, ça 😉
