Ça a été plutôt occupé, en fin de compte! Quelques gros achats en ligne, tout d’abord… Des billets pour le match du Hertha, les sièges pour notre voyage de retour (rangée à deux sièges seulement, c’est trop le fun), et appartement pour Istanbul en avril 2013 — qui sera documenté ici, bien sûr. Je me suis ensuite tapé une bonne promenade (j’avais la bougeotte — au moins j’ai pris quelques incontournables en photo), et ensuite on s’est commandés des sushi sur Internet (pizza.de, quel excellent site). Et en plus, le resto de sushi s’est trompé! Donc, 10 minutes après la réception de notre « commande », ils cognent de nouveau à la porte avec la bonne commande! Ah ben eille! 2 pour 1!
Et laissez-moi vous dire… le Sushi Taxi peut aller se faire voir. On a eu des sushi ÉCOEURANTS pour 20 euros. Ce serait presque le triple au Sushi Taxi.
Ensuite (je vous l’avais dit que ce fut occupé), on avait une carte de métro (pour le reste du mois) à magasiner pour Stef. Kijiji (eh oui, ils sont à Berlin aussi) a fait la job. On s’est dépêchés pour rencontrer le gars à Innbrucker Platz, à quelques stations de chez nous, avec un peu de « phone tag » en prime, mais finalement tout s’est bien passé. La fois précédente, j’ai eu Tim Robbins en plus jeune, cette fois c’était un vieux bonhomme sympathique en vélo, pas de sosie en tête.
Bon, maintenant qu’on est sortis, pourquoi pas en profiter un peu? On s’est rendus jusqu’à Potsdamer Platz en autobus, marché un peu dans le Sony Center, puis revenu bien pénard en autobus, puis en métro. À notre dernier transfert, on a vu un type en costume d’époque. Il fallait que je lui parle…
– Entschuldigen Sie mir, mein Herr, ich spreche nur ein bisschen Deutsch, aber ich muss Ihnen fragen…
– Oh, but I do speak English, sir!
– Oh… OK!
Quel personnage! Henry de Winter, un chanteur de jazz des plus sympathiques (voir ci-dessous). Je l’ai pris en photo et remercié pour sa patience (il a dit apprécier ma politesse — on est Canadien ou on ne l’est pas) et notre balade s’est terminée sur cette note joyeusement étrange.
Demain… honnêtement, aucune idée! La température sera moins clémente et beaucoup plus fraîche. On verra.

Hey hey,
Today turned out to be rather busy! First, a few big online purchases… Tickets for the Hertha match, seats for our flight back (two-seat rows = win), and the apartment for our trip to Istanbul in April 2013 — which will be documented here, no worries. Then I went for a long walk (I was getting antsy — at least I took a few pictures of the must-see sights), then we ordered sushi on the Internet (pizza.de is AWESOME). What’s more, the sushi place got our order wrong! They came back 10 minutes later with the proper order. Two meals for the price of one!
Let me tell you… Sushi Taxi (a QC sushi place) can go to hell. We had AMAZING sushi for 20 euros. That’s about a third of the price at Sushi Taxi.
Then (told you it was a busy day), we had a subway pass to buy for Stef for the rest of this month. Kijiji (yup, they’re in Berlin) did the job. We had to hurry to meet the guy at Innbrucker Platz, a few stations from here, and play some « phone tag », but everything turned out fine. The previous time, I had a younger Tim Robbins, this time it was an nice old man on a bike, no lookalike in mind.
Alright, now that we’re out, why not enjoy it? We went to Potsdamer Platz by bus, walked around the Sony Center, then back by bus. On our last subway connection, we saw a guy in a suit from the 30s or so. Of course, I had to go talk to him…
– Entschuldigen Sie mir, mein Herr, ich spreche nur ein bisschen Deutsch, aber ich muss Ihnen fragen…
– Oh, but I do speak English, sir!
– Oh… OK!
What a guy! His name is Henry de Winter (see below), a jazz singer and a very nice fellow. I took his picture and thanked him for his patience (he said he appreciated my politeness — Canadians represent!) and our little sortie ended on that strange and happy note.
Tomorrow… Honestly, no clue! The weather will most likely be overcast and much cooler. We’ll see.

Il n’y a pas beaucoup de traces de l’ex-Mur, en fait. Il y a la East Side Gallery (peinte par plein d’artistes, qu’on va sûrement aller voir bientôt) et une section intacte près de Potsdamer Platz, que je vais probablement aller voir bientôt 🙂
Quant aux H&M, il y en a une tonne! (Stef dit 🙂 Juste sur le Kudamm (boulevard), il y en a 4 sur une distance d’à peu près 500 mètres! Un d’entre eux a 3 étages : 1 hommes, 1 femmes, 1 enfants — en plus d’une section Tailles fortes qui n’existe pas au Québec, un autre a 2 étages, uniquement pour femmes, et les deux autres sont uniquement pour femmes.
